Conscious Connected
BREATHWORK
experiential healing for self discovery, balance & insight
Reclaim your innate sense of belonging through the intelligence of your breath
-
Conscious connected breathwork is a form of active, circular & rhythmic breathing. It consists of a two part inhale, first into the belly and then into the chest followed by a passive exhale ~ all done through the mouth.
This form of breathwork can inspire spaciousness in the body, mind and spirit, impacting many different layers of your being.
It can soften the walls we have built around our hearts and minds and open to transformation. It can begin to dissolve accumulated tensions in the physical body, open up mental constriction and connect deeply to a divine source. It inspires a gently expanded state of consciousness, body restoration and personal insight.

On arrival you will be welcomed to the land, given a cup of tea and invited to walk to our breathwork session together
We will begin with supportive conversation to bring forth your intention and the pieces of your life asking for clarity or greater awareness
Next, you will get comfortable laying on a mat with any pillows and blankets you’d like.
We will enter into the breathwork journey that will be 45- 75 minutes long depending on the length we have decided together.
During the session, I will give optional invitations of inquiry, making noise, movement or breath holds. I offer grounding touch and energetic support throughout, with your consent.
After the active breath journey comes to a close there will be a time of restoration and space to come back slowly
There will be a chance to share and begin integrating your experience before the session comes to a close.

Breathwork can be a powerful support in understanding your trauma and unweaving from its grip. This happens in part because breathwork can connect you with your innate belongingness to the earth and to source beyond any experiences you may have had in this lifetime. It can help you access subconscious material that further helps you process traumas.
Some things to consider:
~ Trauma healing often requires a slow, titrated, moment-to-moment process. Integration happens best at a pace the body and psyche can safely digest.
~ While some dysregulation is normal and can be part of a productive movement of energy, our aim is for participants to leave feeling resourced and supported, not overwhelmed.
~ Breathwork facilitators are not somatic therapists, unless separately credentialed. Breathwork is not a substitute for clinical trauma care.
If you have a significant trauma history:
Please consult your licensed mental health provider before participating.
Ensure you have ongoing clinical support alongside your breathwork journey.

The following conditions are contraindicated for participating in breathwork:
Pregnancy
Glaucoma, retinal detachment, macular degeneration, or significant eye conditions
Epilepsy or seizure disorders
Aneurysm or recent stroke
Recent major surgery or significant injury
Diagnosed psychiatric conditions including:
Schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder
Dissociative identity disorder
Bipolar disorder (especially unmedicated or recently unstable)
Current or recent psychotic episodes
Severe PTSD with uncontrolled flashbacks or dissociation
Active suicidal ideation or recent attempt
Conditions that may require modification or medical consultation and approval:
Please consult your provider and/or facilitator before participating if you have:
High blood pressure or cardiovascular concerns
History of panic attacks or severe anxiety
Recent major loss, trauma, or life crisis
Asthma (please bring your inhaler)
Severe osteoporosis
Are under 18 years old
Any condition that could be worsened by acute stress, emotional release, or expanded states
A note to consider:
Conscious connected breathwork is active and tends to be up regulating to the sympathetic nervous system for a portion of the session. This is similar to exercise where you choose to enter into an acute and intentional form of stress or activation on the system, that ultimately can provide a lower baseline stress level in daily life, inspiring more resiliency in your nervous system to move to and from parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous system states.

Before any breathwork session, we connect over a video call first! This allows space for you to share what calls you to breathwork, discuss any contraindications you may have, as well as answer any questions you have and feel into if the breathwork journey is a good fit.
