Belly work

The central Mind of your being

This work is offering slow, caring touch and deep listening to the rich tissues of the bellyspace, the central cavity of the body, THE VISCERa.

In Thai Medical Theory, the abdomen is the central mind of our being. The sen translated as pathways of movement, all originating just behind the naval. This space is the epicenter for life moving through and animating your being.

Here in the central cavity of the body lives rich connective tissue, lymphatic vessels, nerves and organs. Our organs are continuously communicating, responding, adapting and changing with the experiences of our life.

my touch is guided and paced by your body. this work is collaborative, not forceful.

In working with the viscera, I open with curiosity and love in my hands as I listen to the tissues tell their story. The tissues share where they feel easeful, contracted, sticky or fluid. I follow and gently offer some new ideas into the tissue. A lot of what happens in the session is inviting new perspectives into the belly space through touch, either following these tensions patterns or inviting a new direction.

the viscera is especially intelligent. it often doesn’t need much to be inspired to move differently or to self correct.

We explore the creativity shared between touch and receptivity.

THERE IS A RICH CONSTELLATION OF STRUCTURES HERE, EACH EXISTING WITH THEIR OWN INTELLIGENCE WHILE ALSO COLLABORATION DEEPLY IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH EACH OTHER.

Massage in the viscera can open your ability to relate to the life you are living in a field of new possibilities.
