Meet Kenzie :)
why i chose this work
or rather, why it chose me!
What drew me most to bodywork was the preciousness of touch as a means to access a deeper wisdom within ourselves. So simple! Yet so profound. I am deeply moved by the empowerment that comes from accessing this deeper wisdom by doing less and receiving more.
I have chosen the work that i do because I value the depth of our consciousness that exists in the sacred art of relaxation. I value connection that exists outside of grind culture and hyper productivity. I value the practice of meeting sensations in the body with curiosity and creativity. I believe in the empowerment that lives in nonjudgmental experiences of the self.
The values & philosophy of pathways of Soft transcendence & spaciousness for personal & collective nourishment
SOFT TRANSCENDENCE
I came into the practice and career of bodywork and breathwork as a curiosity of my own suffering. For a long time my body was in a state of contraction, anxiety, depression, despair and trauma spiraling. And yet, beneath all of it, a quiet steady voice kept calling: there is another way.
The practice of befriending my inner experience became the answer. I found thai bodywork and breathwork to be empowering, spacious and supportive yet simple ways of making room for all of my experience, sensations and beauty beyond the stories of trauma that kept me bound in suffering.
Through exploring the landscape of my own body through bodywork and breathwork, I have found the craft of inner world travel deeply healing, enlivening and transformative. Liberation as muse and softness as a personal practice.
Transcendence is available when we can set aside the demand to be hyper productive and constantly identity driven. What becomes possible when we step outside of our story for a moment and calibrate to the energy of recieving?
Spaciousness
The body is a landscape of potentiality, expressing itself in infinitely creative ways. It's foundational state is a one of intelligent healing.
Inpsiring spaciousness is at the root of thai bodywork, bellywork and breathwork. This work offers a felt sense that the self can relax it's grip. The ordinary body, tended to with care can become a place of genuine wonder.
Soft transcendence is a spacious awareness of the self.
Nourishment
The ease you find in your body moves into how you listen, how you show up, how you rest and relate and resource yourself for the life you are here to live.
This is my heart's work. My form of activism. It's a radical act to rest and to step into a rhythm outside of hyper productivity, outside of proving our worth through identifying with effort exhaustion.
This is an honoring of the grief, the expansion, the contraction, the freedom of the body, the breath, the belly. I work across the physical, energetic, and emotional layers following the subtle intelligence of tissue and breath. All of you is welcome here in the paradoxal process of being human. It is a profound gift to support you in receiving.
May rest and recieving be nourishment for you and the web of life you orient in.
May you be guided from a softened heart.
May you choose aliveness.
I have deep gratitude for the teachers who have gifted me their knowledge and wisdom of the human body and its healing capacity.
